Students are required to follow the School Code of Behaviour but most of all have fun!
Parents/Carers are expected to:
– To provide details where they or a designated adult can be contacted during the extracurricular activity should the need arise.
– To collect the child on time at the end of the class.
– To only enrol their children in activities which they are interested in attending. ECA should be fun for all the children involved. It is therefore important that the children themselves want to be there. Where children consistently show that they are not interested in the activity or in joining in with the group, or are being disruptive, parents will be advised. Parents may be asked that their child take a break from the activity, or no longer attend. The school Principal will be advised of any serious or ongoing disruptions and will support the PAC in taking action.
The PAC will pass on any details you add to the sign-up form about you and your child (names, emergency phone number, class, permissions, special needs, allergies/injuries) to the relevant course providers, who will only use them for the term duration and the purpose of operating the course, then return them to the school at the end of the term to be destroyed.
If a class is cancelled, the activity provider will inform parents. If possible, an additional class will be arranged at the end of the term.
To reduce the amount of classes cancelled, the school has assigned a classroom for each outdoor activity in case of inclement weather (tennis, soccer and basketball).
